The series focuses on the unevenness of life. In a world where apparent perfection is becoming increasingly prevalent due to medical advances, technological progress, and digital networking, it shows vulnerability as a fundamental condition of human existence and a connecting element between humans and nature.

The series tells fragmentary stories of individual fructures and pain — on a physical and emotional level — but also of time, healing, strength, and growth. As visible evidence on our skin, scars are part of our history and shape us. Emotional injuries are also often felt and visible on the human body.

The view aims to encourage personal introspection: What events have shaped and changed us – individually and collectively? How are our experiences inscribed in our bodies and souls? How does pain feel, how do we deal with it, and how does time change our view of events?

The work is an invitation to quiet contemplation. It aims to open up spaces for empathy and reflection on the vulnerability of human existence.
