Lotte (*1990) is a Hamburg-based portrait and documentary photographer whose work explores sociocultural themes and events. She is drawn to public places and gatherings where people temporarily share the same space and a common purpose, while each carries their own story. Everyday phenomena become starting points for closer observation, allowing her to examine them from different perspectives and reveal the complexity within the ordinary.
Working at the intersection of documentary and staged photography, she uses the camera to investigate the boundaries between observation and construction. Her visual language is shaped by strong colors and clear, often graphic compositions. The resulting images are fragmentary and reduced, yet playful and open to the viewer’s own associations.
She is currently developing her thesis project on the pigeon under the guidance of Ludwig Rauch at Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin.
