Lotte Weber is a portrait and documentary photographer born in Darmstadt (*1990) and living in Hamburg since 2015.

With her background in cultural studies, she is particularly interested in sociocultural topics and happenings. Her photographic work focuses on exploring her own socialization and examining current social movements. She is fascinated by places and events where different people come together and temporarily share the same space or a similar mission. Further she is curious about everyday phenomena—in looking closely to understand things more deeply and to explore them from different angles.

As part of this, she is currently working on her thesis project on the pigeon under the guidance of Ludwig Rauch at Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin.

In her work, she explores the boundaries between documentary and artistic, sometimes staged photography. Her visual language is based on the interplay of strong colors; it is fragmentary, graphic, clear, and yet playful.
