“Once upon a time, Kolf was one of the most popular games in the Netherlands. Around 1970, there were some 350 Kolf courts across the low countries – with about 200 in Amsterdam alone. Today only a dozen or so survive, mostly in small villages in north Holland, where dedicated players still keep the tradition alive.”
